The Archangel, by mixologists Richard Boccato and Michael McIlroy, is Spring in a glass. Aperol and cucumbers are a crisp, bright combination, bolstered by the bracing herbals of gin.
Add cucumber slices to a mixing glass and muddle gently – enough to release the scent, not so much that you break it up into little bitty pieces. Add the remaining ingredients and ice, and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass, and garnish with a cucumber slice or a lemon twist.
