The Caipirissima is essentially a Daiquiri, made in the style of a Caipirinha. It’s a deliciously rustic approach, and we can even appreciate the little bits of lime flesh as we slurp.
We’ve seen a lot of variation in the syrup measure across the many versions of this recipe floating about. We like it with about a tablespoon of demerara (brown sugar) syrup, but your milage may vary – feel free to increase or decrease the measure to suit your taste, and the sweetness of your limes and chosen rum. Use half the given amount if you’re using granulated or brown sugar instead of syrup.
