Calvados Cocktail

Gaz Regan dug this recipe up from the jumbled, weird Jones’ Complete Barguide from the 1970s. Lor’ bless him for it, because he took the opportunity to significantly improve upon the original.

Calvados is a special type of apple brandy, made in or around France’s Normandy region. This drink really should be made with real calvados, but apple brandy or applejack will do in a pinch.

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupé.
