The Iron Ranger is a wonderful tropical bourbon cocktail from master mixologist Erick Castro at San Diego’s Raised By Wolves.
Castro’s recipe calls for overproof bourbon – specifically, Wild Turkey 101. We’ve also tried with standard 86-proof bourbon, and it’s still very tasty, if a little more sweet than intended.
Shake all ingredients with crushed or pebble ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with crushed or pebble ice. Garnish with a mint spring and a cinnamon stick.
