Terra Boa

Terra Boa cocktail with tequila, yellow Chartreuse, coconut milk, lime juice, simple syrup, and soda water

The Terra Boa is a beachy spritzer from the mind of Jacyara de Oliveira, beverage director at Chicago’s El Che Bar. Tequila, coconut milk, and yellow Chartreuse (a sweet herbal liqueur) are an unusual combination, but taste so light and fresh together, with the help of lime and sparkling water.

Instructions

Shake everything (except the sparkling water) with ice, briefly. Strain into an ice-filled tall glass or clay pot (like a Mexican jarrito). Top with a fat sprig of mint, coconut shavings, and a pinch of salt (de Olivera uses a smoked salt).

Game Changer

This is a game changer. When you're at the liquor store, thinking, "Yeah, ok fine what does Ancho Reyes liquor get me?" you open the app, look up Chile liquor and see that it gets you like 11 new cocktails. This is addictive, and indeed worth the price. We're having a blast under quarantine. While some of the ingredients are kind of anonymous, the icons look like the Campari bottle, and the descriptions often tell you if Campari will work or if you need Aperol. If you <3 cocktails, get this.
