Trader Vic’s Grog

Trader Vic’s Grog is a classic tiki drink from a founding father: Victor Bergeron, of the Trader Vic’s chain of Polynesian-inspired, kitch-laden bars and restaurants.

We prefer this tweaked recipe from Beachbum Berry Remixed, which calls for passion fruit syrup instead of the harder-to-find juice. You can use whichever you have on hand – or even try passion fruit puree, which has a sweetness level somewhere between the syrup and the juice.

Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour unstrained into a short glass, and garnish with a lime wedge and a brandied cherry on a pick.
