Copa Caipirinha

The Copa Caipirinha is H. Joseph Ehrmann’s twist on the classic, with fresh sweet cherries and rich brown sugar syrup. It’s refreshing, intriguing, and as beautiful as a glittering ruby gem set amongst emeralds and peridot.

Ingredients
- ½ whole Lime
- 4 whole Cherry
- 2 sprigs Mint
- 2 parts Unaged cachaça or Aged cachaça
- ½ part Brown sugar syrup
Instructions
Cut the half-lime into 4 pieces and add to a shaker, along with the cherries. Press down on the fruit to release the juices (taking care not to crush the cherry pits), add the mint, and muddle again (more gently this time). Add the remaining ingredients, and shake vigorously. Double-strain into an ice-filled glass, and garnish with fresh mint and lime wheels.
