Honeymoon

The classic Honeymoon, from Hugo Ensslin’s 1916 Recipes for Mixed Drinks, is one of our favorite fall drinks. It’s a sweet, enigmatic apple sour, just perfect for welcoming cooler weather and shorter days. This version from the PDT Cocktail Book is well-balanced, with a lovely honey flavor from the Bénédictine (a sweet herbal liqueur).

Ingredients
- 2 parts Apple brandy
- ½ part Orange curaçao
- ½ part Sweet herbal liqueur
- ½ part Lemon juice
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass.
