Secret Catch

Secret Catch creamy cocktail with aged cachaça, Pedro Ximenez sherry, heavy cream, orgeat, cinnamon syrup, egg yolk, and bitters

Cachaça is typically found in refreshing tropical cocktails alongside ingredients like citrus and sparkling water – but Ivy Mix, from Brooklyn’s Leyenda, takes it in an entirely different direction.

Playing on the cooked-sugar notes of aged cachaça, Mix adds in rich, raisiny Pedro Ximenez sherry and festive cinnamon and orgeat syrups, made even more like a holiday fruitcake with the addition of egg yolk and heavy cream. It’s about as rich and comforting as cocktails get, a perfect treat for a cold night.

Cocktail Party app on tablets and phones

Get the App

The Cocktail Party app puts this drink – and hundreds more – in your pocket, and tells you what you can make from the ingredients you have at home. It's the best $3.99 you'll ever spend on a drink.

Game Changer

This is a game changer. When you're at the liquor store, thinking, "Yeah, ok fine what does Ancho Reyes liquor get me?" you open the app, look up Chile liquor and see that it gets you like 11 new cocktails. This is addictive, and indeed worth the price. We're having a blast under quarantine. While some of the ingredients are kind of anonymous, the icons look like the Campari bottle, and the descriptions often tell you if Campari will work or if you need Aperol. If you <3 cocktails, get this.
