Sport Pilot

The Sport Pilot is basically a “Piña Colada for tequila drinkers,” according to its creator Rain Miller at Noelle in Nashville. But it’s actually mezcal playing a starring role here, lending a toasty, smoky quality to the coconut. At Noelle, Miller uses a house coconut puree that we’ve approximated here with sweet cream of coconut and coconut milk or cream.

Ingredients
- 1½ parts Aged tequila
- ½ part Mezcal
- ½ parts Falernum liqueur
- ¾ part Lime juice
- ¾ part Cream of coconut
- ¾ part Coconut cream or Coconut milk
- ½ part Cinnamon syrup
- 1 dash Aromatic bitters
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a tall glass filled with crushed or pebble ice. Garnish with grated nutmeg and a lime wheel.
