The perfect balance and simple ingredients of this drink made us feel certain that it was an old classic. So color us surprised to find that it was invented in 2000 by Robert “DrinkBoy” Hess. Well done, DrinkBoy!

Ingredients
- 2 parts Brandy or Cognac
- 1 part Dry vermouth
- ½ part Triple sec
- 1 dash Aromatic bitters
Instructions
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange or lemon twist.
