Black Forest Sour

Jägermeister (a sweet Kräuterlikör) gets a bad rap, especially in the states, for its syrupy-sweet medicinal flavor and record of inebriating college students far beyond their capabilities. Peel back that undue reputation, though, and you’ll find a delicious digestif with baking-spice flavors that works wonderfully in rich, fruit-forward cocktails – like this Black Forest Sour.

Ingredients
- 1⅓ part Kräuterlikör
- 1 tsp Cherry brandy
- part Lemon juice
- ⅓ part Pineapple juice
- ⅓ part Simple syrup
- ½ part Egg white or Aquafaba
Instructions
Dry-shake all ingredients first without ice, then again with ice added. Double-strain through a fine mesh strainer into a short ice-filled glass. Garnish with cherry (or three!) on a skewer, rested atop the foam.
