Bliss Point

Bliss Point

Bliss Point cocktail with pineapple rum, limoncello, grapefruit juice, lime juice, ginger syrup, egg white, and creole bitters

The “bliss point” is a phrase coined by food scientists to describe the amount of an ingredient used to optimize the deliciousness of a food or beverage. It’s a fitting name for this cocktail by Jelani Johnson at NYC’s Clover Club – it’s a total flavor bomb!

The Bliss Point seems to move through various moods, each more intense and flavorful than the last: a nose of cinnamon from the bitters, tart citrus and soft foam, rich pineapple, spicy ginger.

Dry-shake all ingredients (except the bitters) first without ice, then again with ice added. Double-strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass. Garnish with a few drops of bitters.
