This drink departs from the Bloody Mary and its other siblings in the Red Snapper family with the addition of clam juice. We know, it sounds gross – but it’s one of our favorite savory cocktails. As with all the Red Snapper drinks, the precise amount of seasoning is left up to you.
- 2 part Vodka or Pepper vodka
- 2 part Tomato juice
- 2 part Clam juice
- ½ part Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Prepared horseradish
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 1 pinch Celery salt or Celery bitters
- 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce or Soy sauce
- 2 dashes Hot sauce
Shake and strain into an ice-filled tall glass. Garnish with whatever suits your fancy. A celery stalk and lemon wedge are considered standard, but we’ve seen it done with a carrot, a strip of thick bacon, cherry tomatoes on a stick – you name it.
