Café du Maine

Café du Maine cocktail with cognac, coffee liqueur, espresso, vanilla syrup, and half-and-half cream

The Café du Maine is a now-retired classic from No. 9 Park in Boston. Its inventor, bartender Ted Kilpatrick, describes it as a cross between a Milk Punch and an Espresso Martini. The name is a hat-tip to Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy, a coffee liqueur near and dear to the hearts of Mainers (despite being headquartered in Boston).
