Second Squadron

Second Squadron cocktail with gin, St. Germain, Creme Yvette, lemon juice, and grapefruit juice

The Second Squadron, from Wisconsin bartender Eric Hay, tastes like a morning stroll through a citrus orchard, with fresh lemons and grapefruits bursting from leafy green trees.

Hay calls for Crème Yvette, a unique and hard-to-find liqueur flavored with red berries, orange peel, vanilla, and violet petals. There’s no real substitute for it – but if all you have is a decent raspberry liqueur, your Second Squadron will still be absolutely delicious.

This is a clean, straightforward app that allows you quick access to find drinks to make based on ingredients that you have. I love it because the UI is intuitive and the drink selections are organized into subcategories.
