Sunset at Gowanus

Sunset at Gowanus is a rich, fruity Daiquiri riff created by Alex Day at Death & Co. It’s named for a river in Brooklyn that was once so polluted by waste it was made a Superfund site, but which is now returning to a wilder, cleaner state.
Day calls for Santa Teresa rum for its rich, fruity character. You don’t need such a fine rum to make your own excellent Sunset at Gowanus, but you’d do well to choose one with similar characteristics to stand up to the bold flavors of yellow Chartreuse, apple brandy, and maple syrup.

Ingredients
- 2 parts Aged rum or Dark rum or Demerara rum
- ¼ part Apple brandy
- ¼ part Yellow herbal liqueur
- ¾ part Lime juice
- ½ part Maple syrup
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass.
