Tropical Highball

The Tropical Highball is exactly what it says on the tin – a fizzy long drink with a touch of the tropics. We found it in Dale DeGroff’s classic The Craft of the Cocktail. This is a rare one that we actually do prefer with ginger ale instead of ginger beer, although both are delicious.

Ingredients
- 1½ parts Aged rum or Pineapple rum or Spiced rum
- 2 dashes Aromatic bitters or Tiki bitters
- 4 parts Ginger ale or Ginger beer
- 1 wedge Lime
Instructions
Build the ingredients in the order given, in an ice-filled tall glass. Squeeze the lime wedge over the drink before dropping it in as a garnish.
