District

Alexandra Bookless’ District is a lovely little thing, a tart, potent, spicy showcase for the timeless pairing of rye and ginger.
Bookless splits the bitters: one dash of Angostura, one dash of Fee Brothers Old-Fashioned bitters. You can use a single brand of bitters if that’s all you have, but we did test it as written and we really could taste the difference in the bitters, despite the scant measure used.

Ingredients
- 1½ parts Rye whiskey
- 1½ parts Ginger liqueur
- ¾ part Lemon juice
- 2 dashes Aromatic bitters
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
