This daquiri was named for Ernest Hemingway, who took his with a double shot of rum and no sweeteners. We like master mixologist Dale DeGroff’s version, which keeps the strength but adds some simple syrup to balance the tartness.
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass or an ice-filled short glass. You can also blend it with a cupful of ice instead of shaking it.
