As the weather turns chilly, we find ourselves drawn to flavorful cocktails made for sipping – like this Prospector from Jay Jones at Pourhouse in Vancouver. It’s a surprisingly balanced mix of woody cognac (brandy is fine too), herbal green Chartreuse, citrusy triple sec and sweet crème de cacao, and it goes down oh-so-smooth!
- 1½ parts Cognac or Brandy
- ½ part Green herbal liqueur
- ½ part Triple sec
- ½ part Crème de cacao
Stir all ingredients with ice until well-chilled. Strain into an ice-filled short glass. Express a lemon twist over the drink and drop in as a garnish.
