Rio Grande Sour by Ranjini Bose, with aged cachaca, Jagermeister, lemon juice, simple syrup, egg white, and an orange slice.

Rio Grande Sour

Jägermeister is a sweet Kräuterlikör with a terrible reputation in the US as a “frat boy” shot. We love the gasps we get when we pull a bottle out at our bar, and we love it even more when we can mix it up into a drink that showcases just how delicious the spirit can be, bursting with the spices you might find in a comforting homemade fruit pie.

The Rio Grande Sour is delightfully fluffy and light, refreshing from citrus, woodsy and warming from the Kräuterlikör. It’s the creation of Ranjini Bose at the now-closed Seamstress in New York.
