David calls for Aperol, the sweetest of the bitter citrus apéritif; Campari and its ilk would be far too bitter here.
If you have a decent berry-flavored sparkling water on hand, that’d work just fine in place of plain sparkling water.
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled wine glass. Stir. Top with grapefruit wedges and sliced strawberries.
