Wheeler calls for Scrappy’s Firewater Bitters, but any spicy bitters will do; something with a smoked chile note will be especially agreeable.
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass. Garnish with a fresh or dried lime wheel.
