Stone Sour

The Stone Sour is a classic cocktail from the pages of Dale DeGroff’s The Craft of the Cocktail. It’s a smoother, sweeter take on a whiskey sour. DeGroff is known for his sweet tooth, so we’ve scaled back the simple just a bit from his recipe.
If you’ve got a batch of homemade lemon syrup or oleo saccharum, try it out here – the Stone Sour is a great place to use a citrus-infused syrup for an even brighter, richer flavor.

Ingredients
- 1½ part Bourbon or Blended whiskey or Irish whiskey or Rye whiskey or Japanese whisky
- 1 part Orange juice
- ¾ part Lemon juice
- ¾ part Simple syrup
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into an ice-filled short glass. Garnish with an orange wedge and a cherry on a pick.
