That Party Last Night, from Tacy Rowland at Midnight Cowboy in Austin, takes Jägermeister’s reputation for instigating drunken hijinks and turns it on its head, producing a totally-adult cocktail with class for days.
Rowland’s recipe calls for the sweet German Kraüterlikor in fairly large proportion – but the effect is actually lovely, bringing spices and cherry licorice to the table. The splash of IPA on top is a brilliant stroke; the hoppy scent of the ale comes off as floral and fragrant.
