Ward Eight

This drink is reputed to have its origins in 1898, when a particularly corrupt politician in Boston’s Ward Eight celebrated his win in the state legislature race. He partied too soon, however; he lost the race.

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail or coupé glass.
